I believe good design is (for most, subconsciously) crucial in building the credibility of any brand, including churches and NGOs.
Since I was a teenager, I’ve taken great satisfaction in design projects and today I relish the opportunities for a good session in Photoshop. Below you can find a few quite different recent design projects in which I have been involved.
Much of the design related work I do these days is creating designs to use in motion design projects. You can see more of those projects here.
MOSAIC Christmas Brand 2022
For this, I created a few different branding concepts, responding to the needs of the church, before this concept was picked from the rest to be used as our final Christmas Branding for 2022. Following the initial concept, the brand was developed with the help of my favourite creative director, Luke Griego, who also designed the Instagram post below to demonstrate the brand.
St Peter’s Vauxhall Website Rebrand
Using a basic brand guide provided by an agency, I rebuilt the website for St Peter’s Vauxhall to both give the church a much more professional look and also to create a much smoother, clearer experience for any website visitor, particularly focusing on the journey of a first time visitor to the church.
I also was running the St Peter’s Instagram for a brief period at the end of 2020, in which I included a lot of graphics - so I have added an image of the grid too here.
[small disclaimer with link: I finished this website in February 2023 so there have been changes made the website since - however as I write in July 2024, the general look remains close to how I left it!]
Global Christian Relief Thumbnails
The primary (static) design element of my role with Global Christian Relief is the development of highly clickable YouTube thumbnails. This involves research, strategy, a lot of time thinking… then creating, testing and improving them to increase engagement.
