MUSIC

You will find me happiest and most excited serving on a keyboard in a church. It’s the thing I love doing most.

I have done music of different kinds since I first played the piano at the age of 6, and certainly enjoyed it, but I never loved music or found the motivation in it the way I do now until I found modern worship music. Even though I may never get the chance to work as solely a keyboard player, I wanted to include this music section here since playing keyboard and producing music is something I always want to be a central part of my life.

Apart from online church, almost all my keys playing has been live on stage (which is harder to demonstrate on a website…) so the thing I want to show you first is actually something outside of church that I put together (during a time I was mixing a lot of music for church) with none other than my talented sister…

To Build A Home - Charity Cover Single

For this recording with my sister Susie, which you can find here on Spotify and here on Apple Music, I recorded all instruments (plus some backing vocals), mixed and mastered the track and produced the video. We hope you like it!

Online Church Examples

Below are a few examples of me playing keys for pre-recorded online church services. In each case I also mixed the tracks themselves and recorded additional synths and bass (for St Peter’s).

Worship Keys Rig Rundowns

Um I just found these in my Google Drive… 😄 but I think you can see from them quite how much I care about my keys setups. I filmed these (unedited) videos just before I set off on my travels in 2019 to remind me how I set up my keys rigs when I returned and to share with the wider keys community at my church. I am 100% sure no one has ever sat through the entirety of any of these videos, but if you fancy watching me geek out about keyboards and Ableton, please take a look!

You can find the whole collection here.
