YOUTUBE
YouTube vlogs and Instagram reels are the two formats that I am most excited about in video today.
Both require the type of highly engaging creative content that I enjoy making most. And with YouTube, it's personal. My journey with YouTube began in 2021 with the travel vlog that my best friend and I started. Since then I have shot a new series (currently unreleased) and shot and edited for other YouTubers. Below I have shared my favourite videos from our old YouTube channel, plus another edit I did for a larger channel, Omar Gosh Vlogs.
Emily and Tom
After starting out as a filmmaker purely in churches, it occurred to me and my best friend, Emily, that with all the skills I had learnt plus her charisma and all our travel experience, perhaps we had a chance to make some half-entertaining vlogs about travel.
And thus our YouTube channel, Emily and Tom, was born 🐣
That started 8 months of hard work, lots of travels, many new online friends and some of the videos I am most proud to have been a part of to date. My role was primarily the filmmaker while Emily took on the community building and social media side (although later wrote some great scripts too and helped with rough cuts).

[Note: you might be wondering why I would leave my YouTube career there after our joint channel was retired… well the truth is I haven’t 😬 I have made a whole new video series I am very excited to release! Our most successful video in terms of views currently, this one is a guide to one of our favourite places in Mexico, the surf town Puerto Escondido
OUR MEXICAN CABIN IN THE CLOUDS (tour + daily routine) | San Jose del Pacifico, Oaxaca
This was not our most successful vlog by a mile but it’s one I have great affection for. It tells the story of our daily life in a cabin in the beautiful Mexican mountains of Oaxaca and includes some of my fave funny bits
ST IVES FOOD FESTIVAL 2021: SURPRISING MY GIRLFRIEND (gets real + gets tasty) | Cornwall
Again while this was not a vlog that ever garnered a big uptake, this is one of my favourites, partly since it’s about my home, partly since it was such a great memory but also it’s sorta fun 🤷🏼♂️
ATHENS BEST FOOD TOUR: All 24 dishes
For most of the time we were vlogging, for many reasons we thought we could explain but somehow failed to replicate, this was our most successful vlog 😄 If you are interested in Greek food/food in general, this is the one you should watch! It begins a three part Greece series telling the story of the adventures we had in Athens and Crete (and in between)
